The Galvez Building is one of the office buildings built as part of the Capitol Park Master Plan. It is a 12-story, 350,000 square foot facility that houses several state agencies. Also included is a one-story conference center shared by various state agencies. The feature design element is the full height atrium on the building’s north face, which provides an impressive view of the Capitol Building. All new construction in the Capitol Park must compliment the art deco style established by the Capitol Building. This requirement was the driving force for the exterior composition of the building.
