MAGNOLIA LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER AT BATON ROUGE COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Overview

The largest building constructed and centerpiece of the Baton Rouge Community College campus expansion project. The Learning Resource Center houses the three-story Library and Learning Center on the east side of the building, and a 500-seat theater and stage support areas on the west. Large gallery areas with 25’ high ceilings separate the two areas and overlooks the quadrangle and fountain areas being built through a 35’ high-sloped steel and glass structure along the north elevation. Highlighting the distinguished architecture throughout this building is the exterior facade of brick, plaster, and cast stone with 26’ tall arched windows at the library open floor areas.
