Capstone at Covington Place Breaks Ground

On March 12, 2026, Milton J. Womack, Inc. proudly joined project partners and community leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Capstone at Covington Place in Covington.

As the general contractor on this transformative development, Milton J. Womack, Inc. is honored to play a key role in bringing much-needed workforce housing to the region.The Capstone at Covington Place is a $31 million development that will deliver 80 high-quality apartment homes designed for households earning up to 80% of the area’s median income. This project aims to support essential members of the community, including educators, healthcare professionals, first responders, and other middle-income earners, by providing housing opportunities closer to where they work.

Developed by The Banyan Foundation in partnership with St. Tammany Economic Development Corporation, the project represents a significant investment in the future of the local workforce and economy. In addition to addressing housing needs, the development is expected to generate more than $60 million in economic impact and create approximately 150 construction jobs.
