Lake Charles Celebrates Capstone at the Oaks Ribbon Cutting
On February 24th, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in Lake Charles, LA to celebrate the opening of Capstone at the Oaks.
The development features 120 residential units, thoughtfully designed shared community spaces, and on-site supportive services provided through the Calcasieu Council on Aging. The community serves residents aged 62 and older who earn at or below 60% of the area median income, helping ensure access to safe and stable housing.
The project was made possible through more than $17 million in Community Development Block Grant funding, along with additional Low-Income Housing Tax Credits awarded by the Louisiana Housing Corporation. Developed in partnership with The Banyan Foundation and other local stakeholders, the community was designed and constructed to resilient standards.
Milton J. Womack, Inc. proudly served as the general contractor, helping to bring Capstone at the Oaks to life as a welcoming and accessible housing community.
