Project Overviewx
Three national historic buildings – Kress, Knox and Welsh Levy, once favorite downtown shopping destinations in the 1950s and 1960s – have been renovated into a single, 65,000-square-foot, multi-use structure. The complete renovations include ground level retail, second-floor offices and luxury condominium units for sale or rent on floors two through four. A few blocks from the Mississippi River, the Kress at Third and Main in Baton Rouge sits on the north end of the growing business and entertainment district and close to Capitol Park, Main Street Market and the State Capitol. The building meets the strict requirements of the National Park Service for renovation to a historic building, and the building is on the National Register of Historic Places (Reference No. 355409).
