Project Overviewx
The new headquarters for a Baton Rouge-based credit union, this 20,000-square-foot, two-story building has a structural steel frame that is left exposed at several points on the polished block exterior for an interesting architectural element. While the majority of the square footage is offices, the defining feature of the building is the 3,500-square-foot open lobby with a 24-foot-tall curved curtain wall to showcase automobiles, boats and furniture for local businesses. Sunshades and louvers on the exterior of the lobby curtain wall made out of perforated stainless-steel panels are mimicked on the lobby ceiling to conceal plumbing and sprinkler pipes.
