Project Overviewx

The largest building constructed and centerpiece of the Baton Rouge Community College campus expansion project. The Learning Resources Center houses the three-story Library and Learning Center on the east side of the building and a 500-seat theater and stage support areas on the west. Large gallery areas with 25-foot-high ceilings separate the two areas and overlook the quadrangle and fountain areas being built through a 35-foot-high, sloped steel and glass structure along the north elevation. Highlighting the distinguished architecture throughout this building is the exterior facade of brick, plaster and cast stone with 26-foot-tall arched windows at the library’s open floor areas.
