Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held for Family Focus Recovery NOLA
On Tuesday, November 18th, marked the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Canal Pointe, a Family-Focused Recovery program dedicated to supporting pregnant women and mothers on their journey to sobriety. This innovative facility offers clinical assessments, housing, social services, outreach, and therapy, allowing mothers to remain with their children while undergoing treatment. Operated by Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana, Canal Pointe is the first program of its kind in New Orleans.
We are proud to have served as the General Contractor, working alongside our project partners to help bring this impactful vision to life. The project involved renovating the historic Duvernay Residence and converting it into a 31-unit board-and-care facility featuring offices, community spaces, group areas, and counseling rooms designed to support pregnant and postpartum women and their families in recovery. The facility is located in the heart of New Orleans, directly across from University Medical Center.
