Womack + DonahueFavret to Deliver New LSU Library Project

LSU is advancing plans for a new, modern library to be built at the intersection of South Stadium Drive and Field House Drive, with the project targeted for completion in fall 2029. The new library is designed to better support today’s students by offering expanded study areas, updated learning environments, and flexible academic spaces, replacing the current facility that no longer meets campus needs.

The building will total roughly 198,000 square feet across three floors and significantly increase the number of available study seats, helping LSU better align with peer institutions. The project represents a major investment in the university’s academic infrastructure, funded through a combination of state support and private contributions.

Construction activity will bring temporary changes to traffic and parking in the surrounding area, with plans in place to minimize disruption.

Milton J. Womack Inc. is partnering with Donahue Favret Contractors, Inc. to deliver this landmark project for LSU.
